PBS Wisconsin is seeking a talented and mission-driven writer and grants writer who is inspired by the opportunity to work in public media. The Grants and Reporting Manager will work on all aspects of grants and institutional gifts to support projects and strategic goals of PBS Wisconsin, a dynamic public television station focused on providing educational resources and serving the people of Wisconsin. A successful applicant will have an ability to interpret strategic priorities, match these to funding opportunities, and communicate clearly and persuasively, primarily in writing. Organizational skills to track numerous applications, projects, and resources – as well as to meet strict timelines – are necessary. PBS Wisconsin works with a diverse array of partners. Partners have included the Wisconsin Historical Society, Wisconsin Institute for Discovery, Centro Hispano, Nehemiah: Center for Urban Leadership Development, We are Many: United Against Hate, and others. A successful candidate will have an ability work collaboratively with partners to seek funding for joint projects. In addition to grant writing, this position will write and edit other development communications and publications, including reports and stewardship publications. This position is part of a successful and collaborative development team (that also raises funds through membership, major gifts, planned gifts, corporate support, and events) and reports to the Chief Development Officer. May supervise one or more interns.
