The Opportunity
OPB is seeking a Project Manager to lead the conversion and migration of our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform into a new CRM solution. This is more than a software or database change; this project is foundational to our ability to begin, nurture, and expand relationships with individuals in our diverse audiences. We are looking for a seasoned practitioner with solid experience delivering projects, leading cross-functional teams, and providing excellent communication. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, efficient and results driven while maintaining the broad vision required to execute a project, including strategic thinking and leadership.
Position Details
Plan, lead, manage and deliver enterprise-level projects and process improvement. Responsible for all aspects of the project lifecycle from project initiation through project close. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor and manage progress. Build and maintain relationships with team members, stakeholders, senior leadership, business partners, and vendors involved in project and process improvement initiatives.
Supervises
- No direct reports. Recruits, leads, and directs the work of interdisciplinary project teams that include technical and content creation staff, consultants, and vendors.
Responsibilities
Project management and collaboration
- Plan, lead, and manage enterprise projects.
- Lead and direct project team activities, including define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organize and lead project status and working meetings; prepare and distribute progress reports; collaborate with project teams to identify and manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects.
- Set goals, timelines, milestones and follow progress of each project in coordination with team, vendor and consultant resources.
- Track and manage project budgets.
- Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work; and mentoring and developing team members.
- Participate in vendor and consultant contract and statement of work negotiations.
- Build and maintain effective collaborative relationships across the organization and function as a liaison between departments.
- Create project artifacts including charters, project budgets, project portals, status reports, process maps, and end-user documentation.
Process and workflow management
- Investigate, document and map or create processes and workflow as needed in. Create process and workflow maps that assist cross-functional users (both technical and non-technical users) in understanding entire processes.
- Gather and document requirements and business needs and identify options for meeting those needs.
Working Conditions
Working conditions are generally within the typical office environment. Occasionally may require working evenings, weekends and holidays along with some travel.
Minimum Qualifications
- Five years experience managing complex projects, tracking budgets, setting and accomplishing goals while managing dynamic priorities.
- Knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.
- Experience creating efficiencies, and implementing new and emerging technologies, including new/revised work processes.
- Experience leading interdisciplinary teams to meet project and organizational goals.
- Experience defining requirements and scope to inform Request for Proposal (RFP), vendor contracts, and project plan.
- Experience leading RFP process including vendor selection and contracting.
- Experience managing vendors to deliver quality, in scope and on time.
- Experience leading stakeholders through process review, development, design and deployment (process, software or system) activities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to tailor messages such as explaining technical concepts and projects in easy-to-understand terms to non-technical colleagues, project stakeholders, and executive leadership.
- Ability to foster a strategic mindset amongst project teams with the ability to drive both strategic and tactical efforts as necessary.
- Effective interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building.
- Enthusiasm for the mission of OPB.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Prior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies with enterprise-level application development projects. PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent preferred
- Experience with Information Systems including data, business intelligence and analytics, business systems analysis, enterprise application systems (CMS, CRM, MAM, HRIS, payroll) and integration.
- Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view.
- Experience working in a media facility or in the media field.
- Familiar with radio, television and/or online operations and content creation.
Additional Information
- This position reports to Technology Project Manager and is benefits eligible
- The probable hiring range for this exempt position is between $80,000 and $90,000 annually, depending on qualifications.
