Description
WESM-91.3, on the campus of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, invites applicants to apply for the position of Music Director. This is a full-time, exempt position with benefits.
Responsibilities:
Host daily music program on WESM – On-air Live Jazz Hosting.
Track music with promoters and artists and report what gets played to Jazzweek.com
Audition new releases and acquire music for library.
Ensure compliance with Music Rights agreements. .
Produce timely features and interviews with artists for broadcast and website
Assist with station production needs.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
BA or BS degree.
Three years professional on-air radio experience.
Knowledge of Jazz Music.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of ENCO automation is a plus.
