Description
Essential Functions
- Marketing Strategy Development: Develop and implement integrated marketing plans that support Detroit PBS and 90.9 WRCJ priorities, drive audience growth, and contribute to membership acquisition and retention goals.
- Cross-Platform Campaign Oversight: Lead marketing efforts for local and national programming across on-air, digital, email, and social media. Ensure campaigns are aligned, timely, and optimized for performance across channels.
- Membership Marketing: Collaborate with the Membership and Development teams to create and execute campaigns that encourage donor conversion, sustain giving, and highlight the value of Detroit PBS and 90.9 WRCJ to Southeast Michigan.
- Project Management: Oversee timelines, priorities, and workflows for marketing projects – ensuring clarity, accountability, and efficiency in a fast-moving, resource-conscious environment.
- Paid Media Strategy: Plan, execute, and evaluate paid advertising campaigns across digital and traditional platforms. Monitor performance and adjust in real time to maximize reach and return on investment.
- Creative & Messaging Alignment: Partner with internal teams and vendors to deliver cohesive, brand-aligned creative content that communicates impact and strengthens brand affinity.
- Performance Tracking & Reporting: Monitor campaign metrics and KPIs to evaluate effectiveness. Translate insights into actionable recommendations to guide future strategy.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a central connector across both internal departments (Programming, Membership, Content, Education) and within the Multiplatform Marketing department (web, communications, newsletters, creative services) to ensure unified messaging, coordinated campaigns, and fully integrated audience engagement strategies for both Detroit PBS and 90.9 WRCJ.

Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field
- Demonstrated success executing integrated campaigns across multiple platforms
- Strong project management experience with ability to lead concurrent initiatives
- Experience in membership or donor marketing strongly preferred
- Expertise in paid media strategy, execution, and analytics
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, Teamwork/Asana, and analytics tools
- Passion for public media, classical/jazz music, and community storytelling is a plus
