Description
KUNR Public Radio in Reno, Nevada is looking for a hard-working, talented Assistant Station Manager. KUNR is an NPR member station on the campus of the University of Nevada, Reno. The Assistant Station Manager (ASM) will work proactively and collaboratively across the station to handle or assign routine daily administrative or operational projects to resolve or avoid problems prior to escalation of the Station Manager. The ASM will manage adherence to periodic deadlines, processes and requirements of university entities, regulatory agencies, content distributors and funding sources. The ASM will work with on-air staff, outside consultants, the station engineer and external organizations to acquire content and support services and serve as a liaison with the communities where KUNR broadcasts. The successful candidate will efficiently and systematically provide advance notice to and works closely with the station staff, engineer, university staff, and/or Station Manager to ensure steps are completed for requirements to be met by the deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree + 5 years’ related professional work experience in either business operations management or broadcasting operations
- Or a Master’s Degree and three years’ related professional work experience
- One year of supervisory experience required
