Position Function: The position will be responsible for education and community outreach for Ball State Public Media (Ball State PBS and Indiana Public Radio). This position will ensure diverse educational programming using best practices to support learning for children and adults, with particular attention to early childhood education opportunities in underserved areas of East Central Indiana.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. At least five years of experience in formal or informal PK-12 education. At least two years of supervisory experience
Minimum Other: Excellent written, oral, and team communication skills. Ability to participate in multiple projects and partnerships in a changing environment (high tolerance for ambiguity). The ability to work some evenings, weekends and travel in the East Central Indiana to create, steward, and collaborate with partners, community leaders, and others as projects warrant. Must hold a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the university’s auto fleet policy.
Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity or experience with public media education content. Experience facilitating online/virtual learning trainings or events for educators or PK- 12 students. Experience administering budgets, including pre-award and post-award grant processes.
