Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Corporate Support, Marketing and Underwriting Coordinator with Delmarva Public Media.

Primary Job Duties:  This position exists to maintain and increase business and event-related revenue through business-to-business sales of on-air underwriting opportunities, primarily with businesses in Delaware. This position operates similarly to an advertising sales representative, and must recruit new business and maintain the needs of current businesses that presently support the stations. This sales position provides a base salary and the opportunity for additional compensation (bonuses).

Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma and 1-3 years of experience in sales. This position requires proficient use of Microsoft Office products, including Office365, Outlook, Excel, Word, OneDrive, PowerPoint etc. In addition, the position requires proficient use of Skype for Business, Zoom video calling, remote connection to a business server, and a CRM tool called HubSpot.

This position will be assigned to work in the following counties: Sussex County, DE; Kent County, DE; and occasionally New Castle County, DE. This person must have familiarity with the DE business community and region. The position requires experience in business-to-business sales, marketing, customer service, prospecting and new business development, presentation, public radio or broadcast media scripting awareness and writing/editing experience. The candidate must be detail oriented and have excellent interpersonal, customer service, organization and planning, prioritization, problem solving, follow through, time management, and oral & written communication skills.  Also, must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and work well under pressure, independently, and in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:  Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in business, marketing, journalism, communication or a related field. Sales experience preferably business to business sales. Familiarity with media sales, public radio and/or commercial radio.

This is a full-time, non-exempt, Contingent II (contractual), position with a limited benefits package including medical, prescription, dental, paid leave, tuition remission and more. Competitive pay with opportunity for quarterly bonuses.
