BirdNote is looking for a persuasive, effective sales representative to develop our national corporate underwriting program. If you like the idea of building a program from the ground up, if you are goal-oriented and determined, able to both work independently and as part of a team, please contact us.
This is a part-time, work-from-home opportunity.
Job Summary
Identify potential national underwriters and secure sponsorships that align well with our mission. You will manage every aspect of the account relationship – from prospecting and closing the deal to copywriting and troubleshooting.
Desired Skills, Experience, Qualifications
- An accomplished sales representative with proven results in meeting sales targets and deadlines.
- Experience in non-profit media sales, and in building a corporate underwriting program from ground up preferred. An established network of national corporate contacts a big plus.
- Persuasive not pushy, assertive not aggressive. Convincing and able to communicate BirdNote’s value proposition to prospective sponsors with confidence.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills – on paper, electronically, on phone and in person.
- Computer and database savvy; experience with Salesforce CRM a plus.
- A proven team player; collaborative, accountable, transparent.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a deadline-focused environment.
Compensation and working environment
Base salary plus commission. Negotiable terms.
This is a part-time (estimated 20 hour/week) position with flexible schedule. The BirdNote office is in Seattle, but most of our employees work remotely in home offices, connecting regularly via phone and skype.
