Description
WYPR 88.1 FM, Baltimore’s NPR radio station, seeks a full-time Digital Development Coordinator (DDC) to support the development department on all WYPR digital platforms in fresh and innovative ways to connect with our community, and potential and existing members. Qualified candidates will love public radio, be creative, and have a proven history of attaining goals through data-driven strategy and planning.
Role & Responsibilities:
Candidate will work collaboratively as a member of the development team on the following:
- Create a digital (web, email, social media, texting) strategy to help the station achieve and exceed its fundraising goals.
- Generate, execute, and manage all digital touchpoints with WYPR members.
- Oversee development content for WYPR.org as well as online donation forms.
- Develop a comprehensive email strategy to engage with members and strengthen their connection with the station.
- Draft compelling social media content in conjunction with the larger digital and programming teams.
- Design compelling branding and graphics for use in digital spaces for development goals.
- Track and report on the effectiveness of all digital development efforts in helping the department reach defined goals.
- Manage member communications via a texting platform.
- Assist in maintaining the membership database with particular attention to reporting functions.
- Assist in the successful execution of WYPR events both in-person and virtual.
Requirements:
- Candidates must demonstrate an ability to support a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment.
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent education and experience preferred.
- Experience with a wide array of technical platforms such as CRMs, email marketing platforms, content management systems, Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Google products.
- Thorough understanding of and proficiency with marketing and social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Highly organized and able to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously and independently.
- Proven experience overseeing a database and working with large data sets.
- Represent WYPR at events and public functions on evenings and weekends occasionally as needed.
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to effectively interface with staff, Board members, community members, and volunteers.
- A strong affinity and enthusiasm for public radio (bordering on obsession is preferable.)
