ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND:
- Lehigh Valley Public Media is the home of public television station PBS39/WLVT, the local NPR news station WLVR, and the television station WPPT, as well as the Lehigh Valley Reads and Battling Opioids initiatives. Lehigh Valley Public Media is simply the umbrella for all our brands and initiatives.
- We are a 50-year-young non-profit located 90 minutes from Manhattan and 60 minutes from Philadelphia in the rapidly-growing Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania.

JOB SUMMARY
The Director, Creative Services is responsible for bringing to life the organization’s brand strategy through creative direction and execution of all marketing collateral to include digital assets and print deliverables in support of the goals established in the strategic marketing plan for the organization. The Director is responsible for ensuring that any and all creative is aligned and consistent with established brand style guides. The Director is also responsible for steering, tracking and ensuring that all marketing deliverables are of the highest quality and completed on schedule.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
· Work in collaboration with the VP Marketing and Communications and the advertising agency to define the strategic visual brand and creative direction for the organization
· Establish branding guidelines and ensure adherence across the organization
· Collaborate with agency on the development and refinement of campaign creative concepts – execute and direct its execution across all platforms
· Execute the creation of all print/digital collateral to support marketing plan
· Create materials for marketing digital assets as needed for web, social media and mobile
· Develop and execute creative in support of promotional efforts associated with new content and/or programming
- Direct and execute layouts and templates for development marketing materials such as: membership, underwriting or sponsorship materials, ads, major giving, pledge drives, educational materials/department publications, posters, and other marketing materials as needed
- Secure photography as needed for special events, pledge drives, digital and print collateral
- Perform other duties as assigned by the VP, Marketing and Communications
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED TO QUALIFY FOR THE POSITION
· Minimum of five (5) years of creative design experience in a collaborative work environment
· Strong and versatile design portfolio
- Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication, Design, or Graphic Design, or related field.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe suite of products, media management, and content management systems
- Certification and/or understanding of web design principles
MINIMUM DEGREE/TRAINING REQUIRED TO PERFORM POSITION’S RESPONSIBILITIES
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Design, or Graphic Design, or related field; or at least five (5) years of relevant work experience with progressively more responsible positions

- Ability to problem solve both critically and creatively on the fly
- Gives attention to detail for both design and accuracy
- Strong communication and computer skills
- Attentive to the needs of internal clients
