WWOZ 90.7 FM seeks a seasoned, dynamic, hands-on Director of Development to lead the fundraising efforts of one of the world’s most vibrant public community radio/multi-media organizations.  Responsible for overseeing and ensuring success in several areas including membership, major gifts, underwriting, corporate/foundation support, special events, planned giving, Jazz Fest OZ Brass Passes/guest relations, etc. Must be able to work well in a high energy, creative, casual (but professional) environment with a constant stream of OZ show hosts, talented musicians, culture bearers, volunteers and staff.

Proven track record as a successful fundraiser with established relationships in New Orleans market highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, act upon financial information, initiate and cultivate key relationships with funding community.  Superior written and verbal skills as well as proven experience with donor database systems such as Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge. Staff management experience including expert leadership and coaching skills. Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of proven experience and increasing responsibility. Reports directly to the General Manager and is a key member of the Senior Staff.
