XPN Job: Line Producer. WXPN, the non-commercial radio station of the University of Pennsylvania, is looking for a Line Producer.

Duties
The World Cafe Line Producer will assume primary responsibility assembling and shipping the daily show, recording the host and providing creative production elements as a part of the mix. S/he will also maintain the World Cafe archives, supervise the World Cafe production interns, produce, put together and ship Conversations from the World Cafe shows. Additional audio and technical duties may be assigned. As the World Cafe continues to evolve technically and seeks new opportunities for growth, the full-time line producer will help meet the challenge of generating a daily nationally syndicated program and maintaining its status as the premier contemporary music show within the public radio system.

Qualifications

The World Cafe Line Producer will have a Bachelor s degree and at least 1-2 years experience in radio production; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with the world of public radio is highly preferred as is an appreciation for eclectic contemporary music programming. The candidate must have experience editing interviews and/or performances on Pro Tools. He or she must also be aware of the principals of audio production, and the equipment used to set up bands and produce programming. The ideal candidate will have sound editorial judgment, and the ability to work both independently and take direction.
