The Louisiana Educational Television Authority (LETA) and the Foundation for Excellence in Louisiana Public Broadcasting (Foundation) invite applications for the position of President & CEO of Louisiana Public Broadcasting. Louisiana Public Broadcasting is a state network of six public television stations licensed to the LETA. Our mission is to provide programming that is intelligent, informative, educational and entertaining. LPB strives to connect the citizens of Louisiana by creating content that showcases Louisiana’s unique history, people, places and events.

We seek a respected and highly qualified leader to continue our tradition of excellence and to expand our services to the citizens of Louisiana.

Bachelor’s Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Master’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is desired. Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience related to the above-described duties, five (5) years of which must include successful and relevant senior management leadership experience in media, nonprofit, or related education fields is required. Experience managing and preparing a budget is required.

In addition, demonstrated experience as a fundraiser and relationship builder is required, as is the ability to lead, manage, and retain a diverse, talented, motivated, inclusive staff. A thorough understanding of public media and its unique programming, technology, fiscal and fundraising challenges and opportunities is desired. Must be able to define, effectively communicate and implement an organizational vision within and outside of LPB that reaches and reflects the diverse population of the state.
