Application Deadline: Sunday, May 12, 2019
Description
WDET is looking for an experienced radio producer/reporter to strengthen our ability to keep listeners informed of news that matters to the Detroit region. Our ideal candidate understands the issues and conversations concerning southeast Michigan, with consideration of local, statewide, and national stories. This is a full time position.
The successful candidate pays close attention to current events and is able to book engaging on-air conversations on tight, daily deadlines. Other responsibilities include conducting interviews, editing audio segments, and collaborating with editorial staff. Producing social media posts that engage listeners is also a routine part of this position.
The producer will be part of the Detroit Today team, reporting directly to the Program Director and working alongside co-producers and the show host.
