Promotions/Producer/Editor
Northern California Public Media (NorCal) is currently seeking an experienced Promotions/Producer/Editor. Based in Sonoma County, CA, NorCal serves the San Francisco region. Comprised of two public television stations, KRCB and KPJK, and one public radio station, KRCB FM, NorCal offers PBS, NPR, and Independent Public Broadcasting programming to the community.
Overview:
Reporting to the TV Programming Manager and TV Executive Producer, the Promotions/Producer/Editor will be responsible for writing, shooting, and editing top-notch promotional materials. They will also plan, shoot, and edit short and long-form broadcast and digital content.
Key Responsibilities
- Write/Script, shoot, edit promos, including tagging national promos, image campaigns, and PSAs
- Create promotional content for all platforms including on-air, digital, and social media
- Production in the television and radio studios, and in the field, including camera, audio, lighting, and other functions
- Video post-production, including video editing in Adobe Premiere, graphics, audio mixing, color correction, and transcoding
- Production support for short and long-form content in the appropriate formats for a range of delivery platforms
- Audio post-production, including audio editing in Avid ProTools, and/or Adobe Audition
- Oversee assigned projects from inception to completion
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of asset management and media archiving
- Knowledge of digital videography and workflow for broadcast
- Knowledge of current digital media production, equipment, and data management processes
- Knowledge of the San Francisco Bay Area
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Possess interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interact with others

- Ability to manage priorities and workflow and meet daily deadlines

- Ability to work overtime as the needs of the company warrant
Minimum Qualifications:
- Public television and non-profit experience a plus
- Experience working in live control room and studio production environments
- Proficient in basic Adobe Creative Cloud applications required; Mac OSX a plus
- Motion graphics and After Effects a plus
