Description
WBUR is seeking a qualified sales professional who possesses creativity and a passion for the work of WBUR and NPR.
Represent WBUR in the acquisition of financial commitments from local corporations, businesses, and organizations in exchange for acknowledgements of these contributions. Our corporate sales department generates more local revenue than any public broadcaster in America. WBUR is licenses to Boston University and employees are covered by university benefits including tuition remission, healthcare and retirement savings options
Research, develop and pursue qualified corporate accounts for WBUR’s various platforms including local airtime, national syndication, event sponsorships, and digital assets including podcasting, streaming, and WBUR’s mobile app, among others. Identify and manage prospects, prepare and present proposals, and negotiate and input sales contracts and orders. The position will also provide on-going customer service and account maintenance to existing clients.
The position will be expected to achieve a specified annual financial goal.
WBUR’s assets include 5,000,000 terrestrial listeners across our local and national programs, 4,000,000 podcasts and 2,000,000 digital display ads each month.
