KMUW, Wichita’s NPR station, is seeking an account executive to join our corporate sponsorship team. The team is part of a vibrant and creative public radio station with a community service mission. This AE position is for someone who appreciates well-done, in-depth journalism and is a fan of public radio. They will be responsible for the sale of broadcast sponsorship messages consistent with public broadcasting industry standards and KMUW’s branding. This account executive will sell on-air inventory, digital platforms and event sponsorships. This position begins with an active account list and will have a significant focus on developing new business. Each day will be a mix of engaging with existing clients and growing their account list through prospecting.

The best candidates will have:
• Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills including polished and persuasive presentation techniques
• Time management and organization skills
• High sense of accountability and the internal drive to meet and exceed goals
• Familiarity with public broadcasting
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Base salary is commensurate with experience, plus commission and annual bonus incentives. Total salary typically $55,000-$65,000, with greater potential based on sales.
