Description
PBS Utah is seeking a Videographer/Editor committed to doing the kind of work that builds public trust in journalism and storytelling, work that is skeptical, conversational and compassionate. As a videographer, you will help determine the cinematic look & feel, as well as the lighting, for our national-recognized content. You will work on shorts, segments, programs, documentaries and series. As an editor, you will edit a variety of short-form stories and segments.

1. Shoot a variety of short-form stories [:30 seconds to 12 minutes], long-form documentaries [30 minutes to 60 minutes], and other media content as needed. Works both collaboratively and independently depending on project.
2. Edit a variety of short-form stories and other media content with technical and creative mastery.
3. Shoot editorial stills, behind-the-scenes and editorial stills as needed.
4. Maintain editorial integrity and adhere to a high journalistic code of ethics.
Associate degree in a related field plus two years experience shooting, lighting, and editing; experience using DSLR and cinema-style cameras and lenses; experience with visually creative approaches to storytelling; ability to shoot while traversing various types of terrain; high degree of editing proficiency using the Adobe Premiere Suite; experience working with a variety of formats, codecs, frame rates and media/data management; familiarity with color correction; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to lift, carry, and hold a variety of equipment for extended periods of time; and the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders with diplomacy, trust, and integrity.
