Koahnic Broadcast Corp. is seeking a motivated, goal oriented, persuasive individual and we want to talk with you about our new position, an Underwriting Sales Representative for our new stream!
Based in Anchorage, Alaska, the successful candidate will assume the new role of selling underwriting and advertising on Koahinc’s newest webstream, RIVR.net, as well as on KNBA-FM. The stream’s target audience are those who are 18-35 years old, and the key to success is someone who can develop new contacts with a range of organizations including businesses, corporate partners, nonprofits and government agencies. This position includes all aspects and tasks required to secure underwriting: presentation development, writing copy, and handling collections.
What is required besides your motivation and entrepreneurial spirit, an undergraduate degree or its equivalent; 2 to 3 years sales experience, media preferred; and, along with strong communication skills, a proven track record of successfully achieving sales revenue goals.

The RIVR (Rising Indigenous Voices Radio) is an “online radio station” launched by Koahnic in 2017, with the intent to foster cultural identity, pride, and community connectedness for young Native people in urban and rural communities across Alaska. The RIVR, mixes indigenous music with other contemporary sounds, interspersed with educational and cultural content.
