Description
St. Louis Public Radio | 90.7 KWMU, St. Louis’ NPR station, is seeking a part-time weekend announcer to prepare and deliver local content during various network programs, and operate a broadcast console and other related equipment on Saturday and Sundays from 12 noon – 6 p.m. If you’re looking to apply your on-air hosting and broadcast related expertise in a creative, agile environment where you can have a significant impact on the future of our organization – this is your opportunity.
The ideal candidate should have:
- an insatiably curiosity;
- a strong voice and conversational delivery;
- an ability to delivery engaging breaks.
An appreciation of public media is a plus.
Qualifications:
A minimum of one year experience in radio or online broadcasting experience is required. Successful previous public radio announcing is desirable. Candidates for this position must meet St. Louis Public Radio’s standard of NPR-style announcing that is conversational and engaging.
