Public Media Organizations

This is your quick primer of the various national organizations (and acronyms) you will encounter as you begin your work as a local public media sales professional.

CPB (Corporation for Public Broadcasting): The Public Broadcasting Act of 1967 created a new national (but basically non-governmental) agency, CPB, with a governing board to be appointed by the president and confirmed by the Senate.
