Chief Financial Officer
Tallahassee, FL
WFSU Public Media is looking for a seasoned Chief Financial Officer/Finance Director to join the senior leadership team which includes WFSU-TV, WFSU-FM, The Florida Channel and the Florida Center for Interactive Media. As Director of Finance, this position is responsible for the fiscal operations of the station with an operating budget of $13 million and a staff of 100+ located in sunny Tallahassee, Florida.
This position requires:
- A Bachelor’s Degree and at least four years of experience working in a management position in the Finance & Accounting field. A Master’s Degree or CPA is strongly preferred.
- Experience creating, overseeing, and analyzing budgetary and financial reports
- Experience with budget planning, allocation of funds and preparing monthly projection reports
- Experience being a member of a Senior Management Team
- Experience managing staff, evaluating performances and training employees
- Experience working closely with accountants, auditors and CPA firms
- Strong computer skills and highly proficient with Microsoft Office programs
Experience working in the public broadcasting industry and knowledge of and familiarity with the requirements of the Federal Communications Commission and Corporation for Public Broadcasting are strongly preferred. Salary is commensurate with experience & qualifications up to mid-90’s.
