With a committed staff of 20, KUNR Public Radio punches well above its weight. Our journalists have won numerous recent Murrow and PMJA awards, in addition to competitive national grants from StoryCorps, ONA, Facebook and AIR for innovative programming and engagement initiatives. KUNR is based at the University of Nevada, Reno and is a unit of UNR’s Reynolds School of Journalism. The station leverages the Reynolds School’s award-winning Noticiero Móvil bilingual news service and other startups to provide more content to the community and to help train the next generation of journalists.

The ideal candidate will have work samples reflecting excellent storytelling, strong interviewing, fact-checking, and writing skills. We welcome print reporters looking to expand their audio skills.
