HTML EMAIL DEVELOPER
Twin Cities PBS (TPT) is one of the most innovative public media organizations in the country. Twin Cities PBS (TPT) is seeking an HTML Email Developer. This individual will work closely with the Marketing and Membership teams on daily promotional marketing emails, as well as automated email programs. This includes creation and quality assurance (QA) of campaigns, segments, emails, forms, and landing pages within Redpoint Interaction, Genoo, and WordPress. Additionally, this role maintains a current understanding of email marketing best practices and applies them to campaign development. The successful candidate will have extensive experience writing code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript (JSON), and other technologies and languages that align with our robust email program.
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Develop and deploy email marketing campaigns out of Redpoint Interaction and Genoo marketing automation platforms through both daily marketing sends and project based sends.
- Designs and develops mobile responsive email marketing campaigns and templates using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other technologies for placement into our ESP.
- Own readability and accurate rendering across all major email clients and devices.
- Identify issues with accessibility and improving the user experience of our emails.
- Create A/B testing scenarios for creative, copy and offer testing so that the Marketing team may learn and grow the email program.
- Troubleshoots technical issues related to HTML templates, responsive design, email testing, list segmentation and other aspects of email execution, as required.
- Stays up to date on and recommends email marketing best practices with coding, design, and testing of email campaigns.
- Assists with campaign performance analysis and reporting.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:
- 1-3 years of work experience creating marketing campaigns in enterprise marketing automation platforms (e.g., Redpoint, Eloqua, Pardot, ExactTarget).
- Proficiency with marketing automation and email marketing best practices.
- Thorough understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive design.
- Experience using e-mail delivery tools (Litmus, Return Path, etc.).
- Experience with Google Analytics and UTM source tagging.
- Ability to troubleshoot coding problems.
- Design experience leveraging tools such as Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience with WordPress or other content management systems required.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal and support skills.
- Passion for email development, web development or digital marketing.
- Ability to work independently with demonstrated resourcefulness, drive for results and initiative.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency in JavaScript
- Experience with SQL, AMPscript, APEX
- Experience with Salesforce preferred
- Experience with version control systems such as GIT
EDUCATION:
High school diploma with relevant work experience required, BA/BS degree preferred.
