Purpose
The Membership Associate will support KUT and KUTX member engagement efforts to serve the needs of our growing community of listeners and supporters. These efforts include member/listener relations, data processing and fundraising.
Responsibilities
- Gift Processing: Enter gifts to membership database, including but not limited to online, mail and in-kind gifts; process and refund payments as needed; generate thank you email and letters. Pick up and process mail daily.
- Member Services: Receive inbound calls from members and listeners and resolve their requests cordially and efficiently.
- Data Management: Maintain accuracy and integrity of our membership database systems by ensuring that all donor information is kept current and up to date. Share updates with UT development as appropriate. Perform administrative functions, including daily and monthly database maintenance and correspondence.
- Fundraising: Assist the department in recapturing and retaining members through outbound calls, emails, and mailings. Re-process payments as needed.
- Special Events: Attend and participate in all relevant KUT events. Drive University Vehicle to events and meetings.
- General:Proactively participate in development strategies, membership initiatives, and regular team meetings. Work closely with colleagues across the station, of all different backgrounds and skills. Must have demonstrated ability to work well within a team and uphold and further KUT’s mission to provide a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.
- Other related functions as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree. A combination of one year of experience assisting with fundraising programs or performing complex administrative functions. Must be comfortable and adept at asking individuals for financial contributions. Excellent interpersonal skills and expertise in customer service. Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in completing work. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (at intermediate to advanced level). Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
One year experience as Development/Membership Assistant. Working knowledge of Allegiance Software, a public broadcasting membership management software and VIP, the UT alumni/donor database system. Working knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, an email marketing software. Public broadcasting development experience.
Driving Required
This job requires a class “C” operator’s driver’s license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver’s license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident.
Salary Range
$42,000 – $47,000 + depending on qualifications
Work Conditions
May work around standard office conditions. Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation. Use of manual dexterity. Climbing of stairs. Lifting and moving equipment, supplies, furniture when setting up for events. May drive KUT and/or personal vehicle.
Work Shift
Work hours may vary to include additional working hours during peak periods. This position may require working on evenings, some weekends and holidays. This position is hybrid and requires work on-site four days per week and is remote one day per week.
